Words

Before we get into what is the True YOU, let us first look at words and how they play a part in our spiritual growth.

Words are strings of symbols called letters of the alphabet. Each letter is a symbol representing a sound. Sounds are the utterances of many life forms on this planet meant to communicate something. When you string together several sounds or letters into a word, you get a greater communication. When you string together words into a sentence, you get an even greater communication. On to paragraphs, chapters, books, and trilogies the communication grows.

Those original sounds were meant to convey an image such as, “Look out for that Mastodon!” Add another sound and you get a bigger communication of a bigger image. “Danger + Mastodon + Over there!” The bigger and more complex the image, the more sounds required to communicate it.

Now here we are several hundreds of thousands of years later and we have this huge complex set of sounds and symbols called the English language. However, did you learn any of the above information in school? As usual, education skips the basic underlying fundamentals.

For example, in school we learn that 2 + 2 = 4, but the teacher fails to mention we are using base ten (2 + 2 = 11 in base 3), so we all go around thinking 2 + 2 = 4 is truth.
